- What's Catholic Worker Blog Aggregator?
Catholic Worker Blog Aggregator uses a Yahoo! Pipe to aggregate posts from several Catholic Worker related blogs. It displays the most recent thirty.
- Which blogs are aggregated here?

- Due to some difficulties on my end, I can't seem to seperate the house related news from the news articles at The Christian Radical. If I kept the news articles in it would push out almost every other post, literally, everyday. So for the time being I do not aggregate The Christian Radical. I'd just like to point out that its not due to the blog's content.
Many of these blogs haven't been updated in quite some time.
- I know of another Catholic Worker related blog, why isn't it here?
There are a couple of reasons a blog isn't aggregated here:
- I wasn't aware it existed.
- The site doesn't emit an rss feed.
- In my estimation, it wasn't related to the Catholic Worker Movement.
- I wasn't able to filter out a lot of other stuff that wasn't immediately related to the Catholic Worker Movement.
If you know of any that I missed, or believe I've made an error on points 3 & 4, please don't hesitate to email me.
- I think its really not cool that you are aggregating my blog without my permission
Send me an email, and I'll take it down ASAP.
- It doesn't say which blog a post comes from.
That has come to my attention but, unfortunately, the rss feeds from the blogs don't have this information (actually some of them do and some of them don't, I don't have a standard way to get at the ones that do). If I think of something I'll work on it some more. In the meantime, just click the link and see where it takes you.
- Why does it take a while to load sometimes?
If there hasn't been any activity for a while, the Pipe needs to run to update its information. Don't worry though, it will get there eventually. If I had some webspace and more time I would setup some "Planet" software online. Maybe if an existing Catholic worker webpage would like to do this, that would be a good project for them.
- Who are you?
Online I go by Adamv and blog at Adam V's Blog, and can be reached at verslyap at gmail [com].
- Are you a Catholic Worker?
No, I am not. I have read The Long Loneliness, and recieve The Catholic Worker, and the Houston Catholic Worker (I enjoy both of them, for the most part). I admire Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin a great deal, but what I've been able to ascertain about the modern-day Catholic Worker movement is that--as someone who agrees with the Catholic Church 99.999% of the time--I'd find myself in conflict with the majority of Catholic Workers most of the time. But maybe I'm wrong, who knows.
- Then why make the site at all?
Because, I do--for various reasons--consider myself sufficiently disenfranchised with modern nation states that I view the Catholic Worker Movement, and the works that originate from it, important, signifigant and worthy of consideration. I myself am fond of the works of William Cavanaugh, John Milbank and James KA Smith (hopefully give you some idea where I am coming from).
- So, really, who are you?
I live in Pittsburgh, and until recently, I was a low level University Administrator. At the time I wrote this site, I am in between jobs and looking for something to occupy my time. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Wheeling Jesuit University) and a Master's Degree in Theology (University of Dayton). I'm married to the hottest woman in the world and have two dogs.
